The WannaCry ransomware attack targeted hundreds of thousands of Windows computers worldwide, encrypting data and demanding $300 ransom in bitcoins. After a series of tests, a leading European bank tested WannaCry with BUFFERZONE and found that BUFFERZONE’s patented virtual container was successful in trapping and blocking the ransomware in the virtual container, safeguarding the corporate network.
